The Students Welfare Community of Notun Basti Jama Masjid, Dimapur today initiated its first Financial Assistance programme 2022 for the needy students of the Masjid within its jurisdiction who are studying in various schools and colleges in Dimapur. Today a student from Adivasi Tea Estate Gaon, Karbi Anglong was felicitated by the Students welfare community members.

speaking as the chief guest of the programme, Holuto Awomi, GB, Adivasi Tea Estate, Karbi Anglong appreciated the students community members of Notun Basti Jame Masjid for its Samaritan roles in reaching out to the needy students and urged the gathering to own responsibility for the betterment of the community and society as a whole.
“We all need to co-exist and take steps for the betterment of the society”, The GB said.
General Secretary of the student’s welfare community, Hassan Ali speaking to Dimapur 24X7 said that community members should play a proactive role and presently the members are taking into account the numbers of students studying in schools and colleges within the jurisdiction of the Masjid and added that in the upcoming months the remaining students will be provided with financial assistances.
Abdul Jalil, Senior Vice-president appreciated the GB of Adivasi Tea Estate, Karbi Anglong, Huluto Awomi for his words which brought in more inspiration for the students Welfare community members and added “Peace and brotherhood should always prevail” and added we will carry forward and a beginning has to be made.
Solomon S Shaikh, president of the student’s welfare community stated that we all have a greater role to play as community members and for which many such programmes will be taken up in due course of time.
“An atmosphere of peace and brotherhood should prevail and as senior students of the Masjid it becomes imperative on our part to duly assist our needy students in their academic pursuits as well as in other socially beneficially roles we need to also participate for a peaceful living amidst all”, Shaikh opined.
