DMP SEPT 25 (DIMAPUR 24X7 ) On 24/09/25, a written complaint was received from Prof. Rosemary Dzuvichu, Advisor to Naga Mother’s Association (NMA), at Cybercrime Police Station, Kohima, regarding death threats and derogatory remarks in the Facebook group called “Unified Nagaland for Christ” by a facebook user. Upon receipt of the information, action was initiated whereby the accused individual was identified and apprehended on 24/09/25.

Thereafter, on transfer of complaint  from Cybercrime Police Station, a criminal case was registered at Diphupar Police Station vide Case No. 0058/25 U/S 351 (3)/79 BNS R/w 67/67A IT Act . The accused person namely Walonir Longkumer (38 years) has been arrested and is under police custody and further investigation is underway.

The Police reiterate that all threats to safety and security of individuals, whether conveyed physical or through digital platforms, shall be dealt with stringently as per the provisions of law. Any action indented to intimidate or endanger citizens shall not be tolerated under any circumstances. The public is advised to remain assured that law enforcement agencies will continue to act decisively against all such nefarious activities.
