Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland organised a two-wheeler rally titled "Seva Jyoti Yatra" on September 26, under the party's Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, as part of a nationwide initiative marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public service.

The Seva Jyoti Yatra's core symbolic route traces Modi's political journey from his birthplace in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. 

The Nagaland leg of the campaign was organised locally, with participants gathering at Agri-Expo Ground, 4th Mile, before proceeding to New Showuba, Four-Lane Flyover, where the rally was flagged off.

The rally was flagged off by Jacob Zhimomi, Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Corporation, Government of Nagaland, and culminated at Sammoogoting Stadium, DC Complex, Chümoukedima.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Zhimomi spoke at length on the trajectory of governance under Prime Minister Modi. He said the country had witnessed sustained progress, with development taking concrete shape across sectors. According to Zhimomi, this progress was underpinned by the shaping of public opinion and consensus-building aimed at achieving what he described as the best form of governance.

He further spoke on the implementation of government schemes, noting that effective delivery had been a hallmark. Zhimomi said Modi had made it a point to interact directly with people across all sections of society, an approach he linked to the doctrine of "Antyodaya", the upliftment of the last person in the line, extending to the remotest village.

He described this doctrine as the central guiding principle behind the government's approach over the past two and a half decades.

Zhimomi stated that millions of people had been lifted out of poverty during this period, a claim he supported by referring to assessments carried out by third-party global rating agencies, rather than government data alone.

The rally was organised to express gratitude for 25 years of public service and to reaffirm a collective resolve towards the goal of building a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047, a target set by the central government for the country's centenary year of independence.

The event was led by V. Khekato Awomi, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), along with his team.
