Dimapur,14TH AUG: Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur has informed that all shops dealing in essential and non- essential commodities in Dimapur district will be allowed to open from August 17. Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan in an order stated that all shops will remain open from Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM except Wednesday for shops dealing in non- essential commodities will remain closed. Pharmacies will remain open as per normal business hours and there is no restriction. However, all shops in New Market, Hong Kong Market, Hazi Park, Millenium market, vegetable market in Purana Bazar and all weekly bazaar shall remain closed. The DC advised the public coming out for essential necessities to mandatorily use hand sanitizers and masks and avoid crowding at shops. He said there is enough stock of all the essential and non- essential commodities and advised public to refrain from overcrowding the markets. Vegetable vendors will be allowed in the colonies or villages only and not in the daily markets. Hawkers and vendors along supermarket footpath will be prohibited. Salons, parlours, barber shops and dine-in restaurants or eateries shall continue to remain closed. However, home deliveries from dine-in restaurants, food outlets and delivery of online order of essential commodities shall be permitted. As specified in the lock down measures, National COVID-19 directive and standard operating procedure protocol for social distancing must be ensured. Any person violating this order will be liable to be proceeded as per the relevant Section.
